Tinnitus may occur in people exposed to noise, in people with various vitamin deficiencies, in people with high cholesterol or problems with thyroid hormone. Tinnitus may occur in blood pressure problems or as a side effect of medications used. Tinnitus may occur when there is a mass in areas close to the inner ear.
